Acceptable Use Policy for Darkframe AI

1. Darkframe as a Horror Content Platform

Horror Content Policy: Darkframe AI is specifically designed for horror creators and horror content generation. We recognize that horror as a genre includes graphic imagery, violence, gore, body horror, supernatural elements, and other disturbing content that is essential to the horror genre. Fictional horror content, including depictions of violence, gore, body horror, supernatural entities, monsters, and other horror-themed imagery, is permitted on this platform when it is clearly fictional and created for artistic horror purposes.

Sensuality in Horror: Horror can also explore sensuality as part of its themes or tone in fictional contexts. This is common in mainstream horror cinema (for example, Bram Stoker's Dracula, The Hunger, Crimson Peak, and Jennifer's Body), and is not specific to any one style or content. All such content must still comply with the prohibitions below.

Acceptable Horror Content: You may create fictional horror content including, but not limited to:

• Fictional horror imagery including monsters, supernatural entities, and horror-themed characters
• Graphic horror content including gore, body horror, violence, and disturbing imagery when clearly fictional
• Horror-themed scenes, atmospheres, and environments typical of the horror genre
• Content inspired by horror subgenres including slasher, body horror, supernatural horror, found footage, and other horror styles
• Horror content created for artistic, creative, or entertainment purposes

Important Boundaries: While fictional horror content is permitted, all content must comply with the prohibitions outlined below. Content that targets real individuals, promotes hate speech, involves real people (including yourself), depicts minors in sexualized contexts, or violates other sections of this policy remains strictly prohibited regardless of horror themes.

2. Prohibited Content and Activities

Prohibited Image Uploads: You are strictly prohibited from uploading images of real people, celebrities, public figures, or yourself. The Service accepts only AI-generated images. Uploading photographs or images depicting real individuals (including yourself, celebrities, public figures, or any identifiable person) violates this policy and will result in immediate account termination. This restriction protects privacy rights, prevents impersonation, and ensures legal compliance.

You may not use the Service to create, upload, promote, or distribute content or engage in activities that:

Non-Pornographic Platform: Darkframe AI is not a pornographic website. Pornographic prompts or pornographic generations are strictly prohibited and will result in a permanent ban. We do not tolerate sexual content intended primarily for arousal or explicit sexual activity.

A. Are Illegal or Promote Illegal Acts

• Violate any applicable local, state, national, or international law or regulation.
• Promote, facilitate, or enable illegal activities, such as violence, theft, fraud, or terrorism.
• Involve the exploitation or endangerment of children, including child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or any depiction of minors in a sexualized context. We have zero tolerance for CSAM and will report it to authorities like NCMEC.
• Violence against minors in image or video generations is strictly prohibited and not allowed.
• Genital mutilation is strictly prohibited.

B. Are Hateful, Harassing, or Discriminatory

• Promote or condone violence, discrimination, harassment, or degradation against individuals or groups based on attributes like race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, caste, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, or serious illness.
• Constitute harassment, bullying, or threatening behavior towards individuals.
• Promote or glorify hate groups or ideologies.

C. Involve Non-Consensual Sexual Content (NCII)

• Depict non-consensual sexual content, including deepfakes used for sexual purposes or sharing intimate images without consent.
• Promote sexual violence or exploitation.

D. Are Harmful, Dangerous, or Promote Self-Harm

• Depict or promote real-world violence, terrorism, or acts intended to cause actual harm to real people or groups. Note: Fictional horror content with violence and gore is permitted as outlined in Section 1, but content that promotes or depicts real-world violence, terrorism, or targets real individuals or groups is prohibited.
• Encourage, glorify, or promote self-harm, suicide, or dangerous activities that could cause real harm to users or others.
• Provide instructions for creating weapons or dangerous substances intended for real-world harm.
• Create content that could be reasonably interpreted as a threat against real individuals, groups, or institutions.

E. Spread Misinformation or Deception with Intent to Harm

• Generate or disseminate intentionally misleading information that could cause significant harm to individuals or society (e.g., related to public health crises, civic processes, or inciting violence).
• Impersonate individuals or organizations in a deceptive manner intended to cause harm or defraud.

F. Violate Privacy

• Upload images of real people, celebrities, public figures, or yourself. Only AI-generated images are permitted.
• Share or solicit personally identifiable information (PII) like private addresses, phone numbers, social security numbers, or financial details without consent.
• Generate content intended to intrude upon the reasonable expectation of privacy of individuals.

G. Infringe Intellectual Property Rights

• Generate content that infringes upon the copyrights, trademarks, patents, or trade secrets of others. You are responsible for ensuring your Prompts and use of Generations do not violate third-party IP rights.
• Disney or other major film company characters are strictly prohibited.

3. Prohibited Technical Uses

You may not engage in activities that disrupt or impair the Service or its infrastructure:

• Using automated scripts, bots, or scraping tools to access the Service or generate content in excessive volumes that place undue strain on our systems or the systems of our partners (like Replicate), unless specifically authorized by us.
• Attempting to reverse engineer, decompile, or discover the underlying code or algorithms of the Service or the AI models used.
• Interfering with the security or integrity of the Service, including attempting to gain unauthorized access to accounts or data.
• Using the Service for spamming or distributing unsolicited communications.

4. Content Moderation and Safety

We are committed to maintaining a safe, responsible platform for all users. Our commitment to moderation and safety includes:

• Automated Moderation: We employ automated content detection systems to identify prohibited content, including images of real people, before processing.
• Manual Review: Our moderation team reviews flagged content and conducts periodic audits to ensure compliance with this policy.
• Proactive Monitoring: We continuously monitor prompts, uploaded images, and generated content to detect violations.
• User Reporting: We encourage users to report violations, and we investigate all reports promptly.
• Transparency: We are transparent about our moderation practices and take user feedback seriously to improve our systems.

By using the Service, you acknowledge that we may review, moderate, and remove content that violates this AUP, and that our moderation decisions are final.

5. Enforcement and Reporting

We reserve the right to investigate potential violations of this AUP. This may involve reviewing your Prompts and Generations, analyzing log data (e.g., via Dash0), and utilizing content moderation tools.

Violations may lead to actions including, but not limited to, warnings, removal of content, suspension or termination of your account, and reporting to law enforcement authorities when legally required or appropriate (especially in cases involving CSAM or imminent harm). Violations related to uploading images of real people, celebrities, or yourself will result in immediate account termination.

6. Updates to this Policy
